EAEA Younger Staff Training

EAEA’s training for adult education professionals will be held in Brussels on 19-22 September. The registration has now been opened.

The EAEA Younger Staff Training offers adult education professionals information, tools and networking opportunitites on European adult education policy and practices. The objectives are to learn about European developments in adult education and lifelong learning, to understand advocacy work at European level, to exchange information and knowledge about each others’ organisations and adult education backgrounds, to learn about EAEA and other key civil society organisations.

This year, the course has been further developed, the coordinator of the training, EAEA Membership and Events Officer Aleksandra Kozyra tells.

“We looked a bit more into the profile of our usual participants and consulted our members on what questions are the most pertinent for younger staff in adult education. This is why this year we’re organising the training around three main themes: advocacy, communications and reaching out to new learners, and participatory teaching methods,” she explains.

The methods of the course have been developed to be more interactive in order to enable the exchange of practices.

“Also, this year is the first time that we’re partnering with EPALE, which we’re very excited about!” Ms. Kozyra says.

The training is open to all adult education professionals – of any age – from around Europe.

“We encourage everybody with an interest in the European dimension of adult education to apply. If you’re an adult educator or you’re working in an adult education institution in a different capacity – for example on projects or communication – go ahead and apply!”
