EM Norway: How does the EEA agreement affect Norwegian working life?

This year Norway is celebrating its 25 years of existence within the EEA Agreement. The agreement gives us full access to the EU internal market and the same trade benefits as the member states in all areas, except agriculture and fish. But – how does the EEA agreement affect Norwegian working life? We could hardly clear our work immigration from the east without it, but it also creates some new challenges that must be solved. What does the government do? What can we expect from measures going forward? Are we good enough in Norway to exploit the room for maneuver of the EEA agreement after all?

Welcome to the debate; Participants include: State Secretary Christian Kvam, Head of the Agenda Sigrun Aasland, Deputy Chairman of the Joint Federation Steinar Krogstad, Regional Director of NHO Nina Solli, Parliamentary Representative Tuva Moflag. Deputy head of the European Movement in Norway, Irene Johansen leads the debate.
