Liberal Drinks: what’s next for Europe?

Thirsty for Freedom? Join us for a special Liberal Drinks on Tuesday 3 March between 18h30 and 20h30 at the ALDE Party headquarters in Brussels. “EU watcher” Joop Hazenberg (*) will discuss Europe’s future. In his recent publication Next Europe – how the EU can survive in a world of tectonic shifts”  Hazenberg takes the reader on an adventure across the globe to gain insight into the position of Europe in the 21st century. At this event, he will address topical issues such as the eurozone’s unity which is under pressure by the new Greek government, the European dream that lies shattered while Euroscepticism and nationalism are on the rise and high unemployement in Europe. Finally, he will shed light on Russia which is currently flexing its muscles, a burning Middle East, are we going to lose the race with the BRICS and the position of Europe in the 21st century.

ALDE Party President Sir Graham Watson will comment on these important issues of our time. There will be a Q&A followed by drinks.
The event will start exactly at 18h30 and is organised in cooperation with D66 Belgium and Luxembourg and the Individual Members of the ALDE Party.
Please register your participation at before Monday 2 March at 12h00.
