SOLIDAR – Final Conference NICA Project
Final Conference NICA Project
SOLIDAR in cooperation with the Balkan Institute for Labour and Social Policy (BILSP), GFTU, Eurocarers and GWU will be organising a conference titled ’Negotiating Improvements for Working Carers of Adults’ on 22nd October 2014 in the EESC in Brussels.
The aim of the NICA project is to equip trade union representatives with training material and evidence to bargain for improvements of the conditions of working carers of adult relatives. Consequently, the project partners collected information about the current conditions, challenges and problems faced by working carers in the following four countries, Bulgaria, Malta, Poland and the UK. The final results of the project will be presented in this conference.
With the NICA project SOLIDAR wants to build and strengthen existing partnerships with organizations actively working on the topics of care and industrial relations. This aim is contributing to one of the main SOLIDAR objectives, to realize a more cohesive society in which one is offered the tools to fully participate and develop oneself to its fullest potential and contribute to the well-being of their communities.
