ALDE: VP Dooley discusses transatlantic partnership
On 19 September, ALDE Party Vice-President Timmy Dooley took part in the conference on Multiple Challenges for Transatlantic Partnership organised by the European Liberal Forum with the support of the Czech Institute for Politics and Society – think-tank affiliated with our member party ANO – and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Prague.
During the conference, liberals gathered to exchange views on the political, economic and security dimensions of the transatlantic partnership. Topics such as the rise of nationalism and protectionism, the trade war between the US and China and the role of Europe as well as security threats that triggered the debate on a European army were discussed.
