EM France: Yves Bertoncini’s analysis on the low turnout in the EU elections
Invited to the program “Voices of the Info” on Cnews, Yves Bertoncini wanted to put the participation rate in the European elections, often low, in its context, comparing it to those of the federal elections. Switzerland or the United States: “There is a lack of power, so participation deficit, this is not an anomaly”. Even if the President of the European Movement France would have liked more people to vote, he predicted a participation rate of 40-50%.
He also comments on the predictions of the polls that put La République en marche and le Rassemblement national in the headlines. “What is happening in France, the race between the extreme right and the liberals, is very unusual.
