EM Germany dialogue event report: Growing with challenges – as well as the EU-Turkey Partnership
“Has the challenging refugee situation brought the EU member state as well as the European Union and Turkey closer?
Since the wave of refugees started entering the EU, the EU-Turkey relationship has seen an enourmous boost. The new refugee deal breathes new life into and constitutes an essential part in the strengthening of this geopolitically important relationship, as a bridge into the Middle East, according to the panel at the EM Germany Dialogue.
Participants of the EM Germany dialogue included Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Germany, Beate Grzeski, director of the coordinating staff flight and migration at the Foreign Office as well as Richard Nikolaus Kühnel, representative of the European Commission to Germany. A first comment came from the EM Germany board by Frank Burgdörfer. EM Germany president Dr. Rainer Wend moderated the discussion.” (somehow the Links from the last part went missing, but can be sorted out at later stage).
