“Let Europe Know about Adult Education” Project
The “Let Europe Know about Adult Education” project, of which EAEA is a partner, aims to equip adult education professionals and practitioners with journalistic skills to raise awareness about the role of adult education in contributing to social inclusion and breaking taboos around going back to learning.
The project involved the development of materials such as a simulation game, a guide to using webinars in adult education, a curriculum for various modules, and a communication guide for adult education. The materials were then tried and tested during workshops in several European countries. The final meeting, which took place in Berlin last month, aimed to present the final results of the project.
Micheal Sommer, project manager of the LEK-AE project has commented that a positive outcome from the project would be if adult education institutions used the materials produced for internal trainings. On the project, Sommer stated that “this could be a way to clear barriers around adult learning, and to reach out to those who are furthest away from learning.”
