AI in the world of work: impacts on working conditions and jobs
This event is organised as a side-event to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit hosted by France on 10 – 11 February. Its purpose is to enrich the Summit’s discussions by providing insights from organised civil society from France and the EU level and other esteemed speakers. The programme will feature engaging presentations and discussions on the intersection of artificial intelligence and work, with contributions from international and EU institutions, ministries and various economic and social councils and think tanks.

Friday 14 February 

A European industrial policy for quality jobs
Against the background of the upcoming EU Clean Industrial Deal, the discussions will focus on how to shape it in a meaningful way for working people and citizens by building a European industrial policy for quality, skilled, well-paid and unionised jobs in every region. The seminar, which is jointly organised with ETUC, will be the occasion to analyse together with academic experts, trade union leaders, MEPs, Commission representatives and representatives of the Polish government the current situation and the industrial policy approaches across Europe.

Thursday 13 February

Cohesion Policy beyond 2027: Insights on impact and governance
2025 marks a pivotal year for shaping the future of cohesion policy and the European Structural Funds. To advance the debate, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) commissioned two studies, one analyzing the impact of the European Regional Development Fund in Germany during the 2014-2020 programming period and one investigating improvements in the governance of cohesion policy. The results of the studies aim to inform negotiations for the 2028-2034 funding period.

OSCE’s annual conference on antisemitism
FRA’s Director will address the OSCE’s annual conference on addressing antisemitism. It provides a platform for OSCE participating States as well as civil society and other actors to review their experience in addressing antisemitism. They will propose new measures to increase resilience to all forms of hatred in our societies. The conference will also create space for preparing for the future by exploring how, through such key strategies as education and interfaith dialogue, challenges can be tackled in the longer term.
