This week, multiple European Parliament’s committee meetings will take place in Brussels to debate and vote on several issues. On Monday, the Foreign Affairs Council will gather ministers to discuss the current trade relation with US. Commissioner Šefčovič will also debrief ministers on the state of play of the EU’s trade relations with China, after his visit to the country. On Wednesday, EU Commissioners will gather in Brussels to unveil the AI Continent Action Plan.
European Parliament
On Monday, the Committee on Security and Defence (SEDE) will discuss the Security Action for Europe (SAFE) through the reinforcement of European defence industry Instrument with DG DEFIS. On Tuesday, the Committee on International Trade (INTA) will have an exchange of views on the US' reciprocal tariffs with Sabine Weyand, Director-general of DG Trade, Commission. On Thursday, the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and Committee on Budgets (BUDG) will discuss the Ukraine Facility Dialogue with Marta Kos, Commissioner for Enlargement.
Council of Ministers
On Monday, the Foreign Affairs Council will gather ministers to discuss the current trade relation with US. Commissioner Šefčovič will also debrief ministers on the state of play of the EU’s trade relations with China, after his visit to the country. From Monday to Tuesday, the Informal meeting of culture ministers will discuss the results of an analysis commissioned by the Polish Ministry of Culture on the situation of young artists on the labour market in EU countries.
European Commission and High Representative
On Monday, Commissioner Christophe Hansen will meet with Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests of Italy, in Verona. On Tuesday, Commissioner Christophe Hansen will participate in a structured dialogue with members of the European Parliament AGRI Committee, in Brussels. On Friday, Commissioner Dan Jørgensen will meet Terje Aasland, minister of Energy of Norway, in Brussels.
