This week, multiple European Parliament’s committee meetings will take place in Brussels to debate and vote on several issues. On Thursday, Commissioner Jozef Síkela will meet Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, in Washington D.C. No meetings will take place in the Council of the European Union.
European Parliament
On Tuesday, the Special committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) will host a public hearing on Russia’s hybrid threats and attacks in Europe, including best practices to counter them. On Wednesday, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will have a joint working group on the implementation and enforcement of the Artificial Intelligence Act. On Thursday, the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) will have an exchange of views on the High-Level Dialogue with the Palestinian Authority of 14 April 2025 with H.E. Amal Jadou, Ambassador of Palestine to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Council of Ministers
No meetings will take place this week.
European Commission and High Representative
On Wednesday, Commissioner Andrius Kubilius will receive Seok Jong-gun, Minister for the Defense Acquisition Program Administration of the Republic of Korea. On Thursday, Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will meet with Robert Abela, Prime Minister of Malta and Silvio Schembri, Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Project, in La Valetta. On Friday, Commissioner Dan Jørgensen will participate in the IEA-UK International Summit on Future of Energy Security, in London.
