Weekly European Agenda 28/04/2025

This week, European Parliament committee meetings will take place in Brussels. On Monday, Commissioner Jozef Síkela will meet with Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of United Nations, in New York. On Monday and Tuesday, the Polish Presidency will host the informal meeting of the EU Ministers for Environment and Climate.

European Parliament

On Monday, the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) will have an exchange of views following the presentation of the 2024 Annual Report by European Central Bank Vice-President, Luis De Guindos.   

Council of Ministers

On Monday and Tuesday, the Polish Presidency will host the informal meeting of the EU Ministers for Environment and Climate. The debate during the meeting will focus on disinformation related to environmental and climate policy, as well as issues concerning climate change adaptation. 

European Commission and High Representative

On Monday, Commissioner Hadja Lahbib will receive Jan Egeland, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). On Tuesday, Commissioner Cristophe Hansen will hold a video call with Moses Vilakati, African Union Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment (ARBE). On Wednesday, High Representative Vice-President Kaja Kallas will meet the ELDERS Secretariat - Mary Robinson, Gro Harlem Brundtland and Denis Mukwege, in Brussels.
