Weekly European Agenda 09/06/2025

This week, European Parliament committee meetings will take place in Brussels. On Thursday, Commissioner Cristophe Hansen will meet with Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, in Osaka. On Friday, ministers in the Justice and Home Affairs Council will receive a state of play regarding the development of the EU’s border management and law enforcement interoperable IT infrastructure.

European Parliament

On Thursday, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) will have a public hearing on strengthening media freedom, freedom of expression and safety of journalists 

Council of Ministers

On Thursday, minister in the Justice and Home Affairs Council will receive an update on the most recent developments regarding the fight against impunity regarding crimes committed in connection with the war in Ukraine. On Friday, the Justice and Home Affairs Council will receive a state of play regarding the development of the EU’s border management and law enforcement interoperable IT infrastructure. 

European Commission and High Representative

On Wednesday, Commissioner Cristophe Hansen will meet with EU Member States Ambassadors, in Osaka. On the same day, Commissioner Piotr Serafin will meet with Isabel Schnabel, Member of the European Central Bank’s Executive Board, in Brussels. On Thursday, Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will receive Michelle Rozo, Vice-Chair of the US National Security on the Emerging Technology.
