No parliamentary meetings are scheduled in Brussels, as the week is set aside for external parliamentary activities. EU Commissioners will engage, among other priorities, on water cooperation, research and innovation, youth engagement, and climate and environmental issues. From Monday to Tuesday, the Irish Presidency will host an informal meeting of research and innovation ministers in Dublin, focusing on how research and innovation can support Europe’s competitiveness, security and prosperity. From Thursday to Friday, environment and climate ministers will meet informally to discuss long-term climate and environmental challenges, including decarbonisation and competitiveness, global environmental leadership, and circularity and resilience.

European Commission and High Representative

On Monday, Commissioner Jessika Roswall will hold a video conference call with the EU Co-chairs of the UN Water Conference 2026, contributing to discussions on international cooperation on water-related priorities. On Tuesday, Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will take part in the Informal Competitiveness Council in Dublin, bringing the Commission’s perspective to exchanges on research, innovation and competitiveness. On Wednesday, Commissioner Glenn Micallef will participate in the second meeting of the European Commission President’s Youth Advisory Board in Brussels, focusing on youth engagement and the role of young people in shaping EU priorities. On Thursday, Commissioner Jessika Roswall will participate in the Informal Council Meeting of Environment Ministers, where ministers will exchange views on climate and environmental priorities.
