The NAT section of the EESC will host its end of mandate debate with the aim of addressing some of the crucial and systemic questions raised by the new geopolitical order from the point of view of civil society, and to chart possible pathways for the future.

11th meeting of the EU-Korea Civil Society Forum under the EU-Korea Free Trade Agreement and Workshop
The event will open with a discussion on the benefits of social dialogue in the context of amplified trade diversification. During the CSF, the members of the Domestic Advisory Groups (DAGs) will also discuss the green shipping corridors and the link to a just transition focusing on a people-centred approach, migrant workers and aging population as well as the EU’s transposition process of the Platform Work Directive and the work of the International Labour Conference (ILC) to initiate the development of a legally binding convention for decent working conditions.

Informal meeting of agriculture ministers
The overarching theme of the programme is ways to improve the competitiveness and accelerate the green transition of the EU agri-food sector with an underlying focus on simplification and new technologies such as biosolutions. The themes will be reflected in both the company visits as well in the discussion paper for the ministerial meeting.

Informal meeting of education ministers
The education ministers responsible for vocational education and training will convene in Herning to adopt a new declaration on EU cooperation in the vocational education sector.

The EU’s Monitoring Framework to the UN’s Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities will discuss the national implementation of selected EU laws related to the rights of people with disabilities. National monitoring frameworks, as well as with ENNHRI and Equinet will join the meeting.
