Justice and Home Affairs Council
Justice ministers will exchange views on rule of law developments in the field of justice. The focus will be on political participation as a cornerstone of the rule of law. Ministers will also be updated about the state of play of the fight against impunity regarding crimes committed in connection with the war in Ukraine.

Tuesday 14 October

Justice and Home Affairs Council
Ministers will hold a policy debate on the Commission’s proposal for a regulation that proposes to modify the Union Civil Protection Mechanism and to establish Union support to Health Emergency Preparedness and Response. The Council will also touch on the overall state of the Schengen area.

Wednesday 15 October

Foreign Affairs Council
The Foreign Affairs Council with defence ministers will be chaired by the High Representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Kaja Kallas, and exchange views on defence readiness.

Friday 17 October

Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council
EU equality ministers will seek to approve conclusions on the topic of violence against women and domestic violence, with a focus on prevention, early detection and intervention. Ministers will also exchange views on ways to combat hate, discrimination and violence against LGBTIQ persons and explore what action can be taken at EU level to protect LGBTIQ persons and families from discrimination and violence.
