Council of Ministers 


Monday 14 April

Foreign Affairs Council
EU Foreign Affairs Ministers will discuss the Russian aggression against Ukraine, after an informal exchange of views with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, via videoconference. The Council will also discuss the latest developments in the Middle East and the wider region, also touching on the situation in Syria.

Commissioner Dan Jørgensen will meet Nicolai Wammen, Minister of Finance of Denmarkcolai Wammen, in Copenhagen.

Kallas receives Mohammad Mustafa
High Representative Vice-President Kaja Kallas will receive Mohammad Mustafa, Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, in Luxembourg.

Commissioner Dubravka Šuica will participate to the first EU-Palestinian Authority High Level Dialogue, in Luxembourg.

Lahbib attends the London Sudan Ministerial Conference 2025
Commissioner Hadja Lahbib will attend the London Sudan Ministerial Conference 2025, in London.

Kallas receives Keith Self
High Representative Vice-President Kaja Kallas will receive Keith Self, United States Representative, in Brussels. 

McGrath meets with Anders Eka
Commissioner Michael McGrath will meet with Anders Eka, President of the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union and President of the Supreme Court of Sweden, in Brussels.

Wednesday 16 April

College meeting
EU Commissioners will gather in Brussels for the first Security College.

Hansen meets with Ignas Hofmanas
Commissioner Christophe Hansen will meet with Ignas Hofmanas, Minister for Agriculture of Lithuania, in Vilnius.

Zaharieva receives Pablo López Álvarez
Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will receive Pablo López Álvarez, President of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in Brussels.

Thursday 17 April

Hansen meets with Armands Krauze

Commissioner Cristophe Hansen will meet with agricultural NGO’s and sector stakeholders, in Daugavpils.

The Road to the next Multiannual Financial Framework
The EESC is organising a high-level debate on the Road to the next Multiannual Financial Framework, putting the focus notably on what is important for organised civil society.

Wednesday 16 April

Joint public hearing on the New Action Plan on the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights and the EU Anti-poverty Strategy
This joint public hearing is being organised as part of preparations for two related opinions. Firstly, it will gather insights from organised civil society on progress with, and the challenges of, implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR), and will involve collecting proposals for the upcoming new EPSR Action Plan. Secondly, the hearing will also discuss the forthcoming EU Anti-Poverty Strategy.

Committee of the Regions 


Monday 14 April

NEREUS General Assembly 2025
NEREUS’ General Assembly, will be hosted this year by the Committee of the Regions. This is the annual and most important meeting of the network members of the “Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies” (NEREUS). It will feature the latest space policy developments and how they contribute to agendas of the Green Deal, Digital Transition, future of cohesion policy, innovation policy, and regional development.

Monday 14 April – Tuesday 15 April

Informal meeting of social affairs ministers
The discussions during the informal meeting of the employment and social affairs ministers of the EU member states will focus on key issues related to digital transformations in the labor market, integration policies, and workplace equality.

Wednesday 16 April

Informal meeting of gender equality ministers
The ministers will discuss key issues in the field of gender equality in relation to a modern digital society, with a particular focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on prejudice and stereotypes. The meeting will also feature the presentation of a report on disinformation and countering stereotypes in the context of the Roma community, and will highlight the importance of anti-discrimination measures and the involvement of men and boys as allies, but also beneficiaries, of gender equality measures.
