Council of Ministers 


Monday 30 March 

Agriculture and Fisheries Council
Ministers will hold a debate on the one-year implementation report of the vision for agriculture and food, following a presentation by the Commission. They will also discuss trade-related agricultural issues and recent developments. In addition, the Council will exchange views on the energy transition in the EU fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

Monday 30 March

Towards a sustainable EU Livestock Strategy
The EESC will hold a public debate to contribute to the upcoming EU Livestock Strategy of the European Commission. The event will bring together institutional representatives, stakeholders and civil society to exchange views on how the future strategy can support a One Health approach, environmental and climate objectives, and sustainable rural development.

21st meeting of the EU-Serbia Joint Consultative Committee
The EESC will host the 21st meeting of the EU–Serbia Joint Consultative Committee in Brussels. The meeting will bring together representatives from EU institutions and Serbia to discuss key developments in EU–Serbia relations, including the rule of law, reforms and democratic governance, and will conclude with the adoption of a Joint Declaration supporting Serbia’s EU accession process.

Committee of the Regions 


Tuesday 31 March

Stakeholders consultation – European strategy on research and technology infrastructures
The CoR will hold a stakeholders’ consultation, both at its premises and online, to inform its opinion on the new EU Strategy on research and technology infrastructures. The workshop, led by rapporteur Markku Markkula, will bring together experts to exchange views on how the strategy can strengthen innovation, competitiveness and regional development, and help ensure its effective implementation at local and regional level.

Cypriot Presidency 


Tuesday 31 March 

Informal meeting of Research and Innovation ministers
The Cypriot Presidency will host an informal videoconference meeting of Research and Innovation ministers. The meeting will provide an opportunity for EU Research and Innovation ministers and the European Commission to come together to discuss and exchange views on current and emerging issues in the research and innovation sector.
