European Movement International – Members’ Council 2025
The European Movement International brings together a diverse network of organizations from across the continent, including civil society groups, trade unions, employers, local and regional authorities, political movements, and engaged citizens. Once a year, the network convenes in Brussels for its annual gathering, where members assess the state of the European Union and define joint actions to advance European integration. This is a members only event. The exclusive gathering offers member organisations a dedicated space to reflect on the state of the European Union and shape coordinated actions to drive European integration forward.

Defence-related investments in the EU budget in the context of the new geopolitical order
There is a widespread perception that the new geopolitical order requires a massive increase in European defence spending over a prolonged period, and in this context strengthening the Union’s defence industry so that it can produce necessary equipment to deter potential aggressors. This requires a combined and sustained effort at the EU and Member States level to invest collectively in EU’s defence. In this context, the EESC organises a public debate in the ECO Section.

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

32nd Annual Session
The 32nd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will take place in Porto under the theme “Commemorating 50 Years of the Helsinki Final Act: Responding to a New Reality in the OSCE.” The largest event on the Assembly’s calendar, the Annual Session will culminate in the adoption of the Porto Declaration on 3 July, containing recommendations to national governments, parliaments and the international community in the fields of security, human rights, and economic and environmental concerns. The Assembly will also elect its leadership for the coming year, including a new President.
