The United Nations (UN) World Social Summit 2025, officially known as the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2), will take place in Doha, Qatar, from 4 to 6 November 2025. This Summit marks a pivotal moment in global discussions on social inclusion, economic equality and sustainable development. As preparations for the Summit gather momentum, it is crucial to engage policy-makers, social partners, civil society representatives and other key stakeholders to ensure a well-informed, inclusive and effective European contribution to the discussions.
The event will provide a platform for dialogue ahead of the Summit. The session will take stock of social developments, explore what is at stake at this year’s Summit and how European actors can effectively engage in the preparatory process. The discussion will also look to the future, considering what needs to be done to advance social development globally and to create new momentum for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event will be hosted on Zoom, please join the online meeting HERE.
