EM Norway: Overwhelming majority of European citizens are satisfied with life in the EU

The latest Eurobarometer was recently published. The results from the survey conducted last autumn are crystal clear: In all EU countries, an overwhelming majority of the population is satisfied with living in the EU.

At the same time, the proportion who are dissatisfied with life in the EU is also vanishingly low in all countries. Only in one country, Romania, is the proportion who are dissatisfied, with 25%, greater than 20%.

Support for the EU is also high in the Union’s smallest countries, such as Malta and Luxembourg. The latter is the country with the population that is most satisfied with living in the EU. Here, 89% answer that EU membership is good for Luxembourg, while only one single percent think the opposite.
