Klaus Heeger is Secretary General of the European Confederation of Independent Trade Unions (CESI). He was elected as a Board member of the European Movement International (EMI) in November 2023.

The European Movement International employs a professional secretariat that is based in Brussels. The secretariat works on a daily basis to implement the decisions of the Members Council, Federal Assembly and board of the European Movement International, under the direction of the Secretary General.
