Ministers are expected to exchange views on the Commission’s recent proposals to update the system of own resources for the EU budget. The Council will also aim to approve conclusions on climate finance in view of the 2025 UN climate change conference (COP30).

Informal meeting of ministers for telecommunication
The meeting brings together the EU digital ministers and the European Commission with the aim of discussing how to better protect children and young people online. The central theme is the protection of minors online, with a particular focus on age verification on social media and other measures that can make the digital world safer for minors. A key point of focus is the responsibility of big tech to protect minors.
