Weekly European Agenda 30/03/2026

No parliamentary meetings are scheduled in Brussels, as the week is set aside for external parliamentary activities. On Monday, Ministers will meet in the Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) to discuss trade-related agricultural issues. On Tuesday, Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas will meet with Nicușor Dan, President of Romania, in Bucharest. On Tuesday as well, the Cypriot Presidency will host an informal meeting via videoconference of the Research and innovation ministers (COMPET) to address emerging topics in the research and innovation sector.



European Parliament

No parliamentary meetings are scheduled in Brussels, as the week is set aside for external parliamentary activities.

Council of Ministers

On Monday, ministers in the Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) will review the first-year report on the agriculture and food vision. They will also discuss agricultural trade issues and exchange views on the energy transition in fisheries and aquaculture. On Tuesday, the Cypriot Presidency will host an informal videoconference meeting of the Research and Innovation ministers (COMPET). EU research and innovation ministers, together with the European Commission, will address current and emerging issues in the research and innovation sector.

European Commission and High Representative

On Monday, Executive Vice-President Roxana Mînzatu will meet Ilie BOLOJAN, Prime-Minister of Romania, in Bucharest. On Tuesday, Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will take part in the Informal COMPET Council (online event) in Brussels. On Wednesday, Commissioner Dan Jørgensen will receive Jaime de Bourbon de Parme, Director of OECD Environment, in Brussels.
