About

As the EU rushes to jumpstart its competitiveness on a rapidly evolving global stage – the next Multiannual Financial Framework, seismic shifts in international trade, and the race for leadership in AI, to name a few – this event will address the vital role that women play in shaping Europe’s competitiveness and digital strategy.

The panel discussion focused in the various ways that the EU and Member States can support women-led innovation, startups, and enterprises. At a time when diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts are increasingly threatened from within and outside the Union, it is crucial to ensure a level playing field and fully harness the talent, creativity, and leadership of women to compete globally.

Bringing together representatives from EU institutions, the private sector, and organised civil society, the discussion examined how to turn Europe’s commitment to equality into a strategic advantage in the tech-driven and values-based global economy.
