About
On Tuesday, 4 May from 10:00-11:00 CEST, we held our seventh edition of Talking Europe organised in partnership with the European Commission, this time featuring Raffaele Mauro Petriccione, Director General of DG CLIMA. This series of online events launched in 2020 aims to discuss the EU’s work and how it affects all Europeans.
Our guest Raffaele Mauro Petriccione, Director General of DG CLIMA, discussed the measures included in the Recovery Plan that will ensure the effective implementation of the European Green Deal and boost the Green Recovery providing a pathway to fight climate change. This was an opportunity to tackle the ambitions and challenges of the upcoming “Fit for 55 package” and how it will conform European legislation to the EU’s climate objectives for 2030.
"We are not going to stop climate change if we don’t fundamentally transform our economy. Our economy is part of the problem but also part of the solution."💡
