The European Movement International has put in place a regranting scheme to support our National Council’s effort to enhance citizens’ awareness and engagement in the policies and decisions that will shape the Union’s future, especially cantered around the promotion and upholding of Union values.

Our objective is to raise awareness of the importance of European unity and common responses to challenges, and thus on enhancing democratic participation around Union values.

In the case of the 2025 iteration, our focus is to enhance citizens’ awareness and engagement in the policies and decisions that will shape the Union’s future, enhancing transparency, inclusiveness and accountability of decision-making processes, and strengthening democracy, fundamental rights, civic space, EU values, and the rule of law.

The resources used to support our National Councils come from the operating grant the European Commission has awarded to the European Movement International in the context of the EU funded CERV programme, and the regranting process is governed by the rules mandated by the European Commission.
