Economic and Financial Affairs Council
The Polish Presidency will present its work programme for the first semester of the year in the field of economic and financial affairs. Ministers will have the opportunity to engage in a policy debate on ensuring a globally competitive business environment in Europe through simplification, decluttering and regulatory burden reduction. Ministers will also exchange views on the state of play of the economic and financial impact of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, based on an update by the Commission.

The EESC will hold a public hearing in the context of the exploratory opinion requested by the European Commission on Civil society’s vision for a European Oceans Pact. The aim of the hearing is to gather input from civil society organisations and contribute to the development of a strategic and comprehensive approach to the ocean.

13th CORLEAP annual meeting
Conference of the Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP) will hold its 13th annual meeting in Rzeszów. The aim of the meeting is to take the stock of the current state of play and perspectives for the Eastern Partnership (EaP) and CORLEAP in the new EU political cycle; to discuss how to strengthen the role of the local and regional dimension of the EaP; and to try to define the blueprint for the future EaP Academy for Public Administration for local and regional governments. ​

Informal meeting of education ministers
The Informal Meeting of Education Ministers is dedicated to the challenges that education systems face when ensuring inclusive high-quality education with an emphasis on effective implementation of inclusive learner-centred early childhood education and care and school practices. Upcoming informal ministerial meeting aims to share experiences in inclusive education, focusing on proactive approaches to learning and the prevention of social exclusion.

Working together for a Europe free from violence
FRA will deliver a keynote speech at the opening of the International SYNERGY Network conference. FRA will also present the results from the EU gender-based violence survey. The SYNERGY Network brings together governmental and non-governmental stakeholders from different countries cooperating to prevent and combat gender-based and domestic violence under EEA and Norway Grants funded programmes.
